At East Los Angeles College: Earned All-America honors in the steeplechase and was the Southern California champion in that event. Also won South Coast Conference championships in the 5,000 and steeplechase.

Personal: Son of Martin Ceja and Silvia Maravilla. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys handball, swimming, hiking and bicycling. Lists hitting 9:20 in the steeplechase at the Southern California Championships as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he was born and raised in East Los Angeles.
